New York City! In about three weeks I'll be back in NYC for the first time in a looong time! What should I do when I get there?
I'll be staying in the Tribeca Grand Hotel (which provides pet goldfish, ha!) :

Best of Fall/Winter '11 Fashion
. . . Out of the few collections I've seen, that is!
Two things are clear to me- the 70s are back and I need more blue dresses!
Bibhu Mohapatra
Badgley Mischka
Carolina Herrera
Carlos Miele
Diane Von Furstenberg
I'm excited to see what other designers have come up with (more blue, please!), but I'm about to take a much needed coffee/email break in an effort to be a little bit productive. What dress do you like best?!

If This Doesn't Get This Guy a Date . . .

Dearest Taylor,
I'll be the first to admit I'm a rather shy boy and since music is the most eloquent form of communication I can muster, I decided to record something for you — as sort of a "reply" to the breathtaking song on your current record. This is want I wanted so badly to tell you in person but could never quite put into words.
Everything about you is lovely. You're an immensely charming girl with a beautiful heart and more grace and elegance than I know how to describe. You are a true princess from a dreamy fairy tale, and above all, I just want you to know..I was enchanted to meet you too.
Love, Adam
Not only that, but he recorded a special version of Enchanted for Taylor and posted it on his band's website today!
For a self-titled "shy boy" - that was one bold move! So sweet!

I also got some more MAC!
I now have the Wonder Woman for MAC blush in Amazon Princess:

Google Art Project
I'm totally mesmerized by this site! I've been exploring the Uffizi Gallery for the last couple of days, trying to absorb all that I can - and I've been there in person- TWICE! Being able to see works so close is such a luxury. I am discovering a new appreciation for artists and techniques that I did not have before.
For example, I was not such a fan of the well-known Botticelli painting "The Birth Of Venus". Look how Art Project changes my viewing experience of a painting that I studied in class and experienced in person:

I'm Going To . . .
BAHRAIN! I just booked my tickets last night! Although my friend's wedding is MANY months away, I'm sure I'll find some great travel themed goodness to write about here before then!

Pops of PINK!
Last year I confessed to you my strange and surprising love of yellow. Well, this year I've gotten over my unfounded avoidance of the color pink!

What I especially love about this room are the unique groupings - trophies, paint brushes, bell jars and mirrors! |

Early Valentine Love
After this monster snow storm, I think now is the perfect time to get into the Valentine's spirit and start spreading a little joy with some SUGA! Remember how awesome Valentine's day was in elementary school? Well, there is a way to get creative with V-Day treats for your co-workers that doesn't involve sparkle hearts, Power Rangers or an eventual meeting with an HR rep.
